Taiwo is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. I received my Master of Science in Nursing at Walden University with a specialty in psychiatry in 2022. She earned an associate degree in Nursing from Chattahoochee Technical College in 2016; she continued her education by completing a bachelor’s degree in Nursing from the University of West Georgia in 2018.
Since graduation, she has worked to serve patients as a PMHNP-BC in the Cobb County Community Services Board (behavioral health crisis center), which is a division of Highland Rivers, seeing both the adolescents and adult populations, including addictions for various treatments in psychiatric providing comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, diagnoses, medication management, and medical Detoxification.
Taiwo has many years of psychiatric experience combined with emergency room nursing. She began her career as a Registered nurse at Ridgeview as a part-time psychiatry nurse while working as PRN at CSB BHCC as a psychiatry nurse while working full time in the emergency room. She was providing care to patients with psychiatric disorders across their lifespans.
Taiwo developed a passion for psychiatry nursing and began to follow her path in 2018, which she believes is her calling to make a difference in psychiatry.
Taiwo joined Alabama Psychiatry/Georgia Psychiatry at the Ridgeview Smyrna, GA location in 2022
When Taiwo is not caring for patients, she spends time with her family and three boys. She also enjoys traveling and actively participating in teaching and educating the younger generation about the value of Culture.
